Group Training Overview

Aquaerobics
Aquaerobics is based on performing a wide variety of exercises, games, circuits and dance moves in the water, making participants deal with forces that are not experienced on land. It is suitable for a wide range of people, whether young or old, able or disabled, fit or unfit.

Boxing
Boxing is a popular cardiovascular workout designed to increase fitness levels and improve hand-eye co-ordination. Participants should be partnered up with someone of similar height, strength and experience. Classes are held in the Surf Club Ballroom or outside on the Esplanade, in the park or on the beach, depending on the weather. Gloves and mits are provided, but it is preferable for the client to bring their own gloves. These can be purchased from Elite PTSC.

Core Stability
The core stability class focuses on abdominal strengthening, as well as stretching, incorporating the use of a Fitball (Swiss ball). Core stability work provides an essential base for all of your other training, including weights and cardio.

Mums In Motion (MIM)
Mums In Motion is a high intensity cardio workout which includes a combination of running, spin, boxing, circuit weights and/or body weight exercises. Get yourself out of your comfort zone while your child (ren) are minded by our friendly creche staff. This class is open to anyone - not just mums - but is targeted at women. MIM classes: Tues-Fri 9.30-10.30am; creche opening hours: Tues-Fri 9-11am.

Outdoor Training (OT)
If you want to challenge your fitness and endurance then Outdoor Training (OT) is the program for you. Clients participate in three sessions per week (for six weeks) consisting of taking on Kurnell's famous sandhills, track sessions, body weight and strength exercises and fitness testing. All sessions take place around Cronulla's beautiful beaches and parks. OT is a great way to push yourself beyond the comfort zone and get into shape for summer.

Pilates
The Pilates method of exercising offers a total body conditioning program which enhances one's quality of life through improving body awareness, strength, flexibility, co-ordination and stamina. Breathing and abdominal support are emphasised in every movement sequence in mat-work classes.

Spin
Spin classes provide a great form of cross training and involve a variety of riding positions and training methods while cycling on stationary bikes. The techniques used are determined by the choice of music, which is selected by the instructor, and all fitness levels are catered for from tri-athletes to the general public training for fat loss or fitness.

Walk/Jog/Run
The Elite run group provides a great opportunity for social interaction between clients, gym members and trainers, as well as putting clients through a great workout. Exercising within a group environment lifts motivation levels and gets clients out of their comfort zone. It is suitable for all fitness levels, whether training for a marathon or running/jogging/walking for general fitness or fat loss or purely for the social interaction.
