Elite PTSC Run Club

When/Session Type
Tuesdays, 6-6.45am - track (Sylvania Athletics Track)

Thursdays, 6-6.45am - road intervals/hills/ fartlek

Saturdays, 7-8am - fartlek road/hills

NB. Sunday LSD runs are also run as part of our special training programs (see below).

Where
All Thursday and Saturday runs start from Elite PTSC Personal Training Studio which is based at the Cronulla Sports Pavilion, 1 The Esplanade, right on South Cronulla Beach. We utilise the many great locations around Sutherland Shire for our runs. Tuesday runs are at Sylvania Athletics Track.

Anyone running with the group can leave their keys, wallets etc with our Reception staff and are welcome to utilise the toilet, shower and pool facilities before or after the run (we open at 5am Thursday and 6am Saturday).

How?
To participate, just register at Reception about 5mins prior to start time. If you are taking part for the first time, arrive about 10mins early as you will need to fill out a short health screen/ contact details for insurance purposes and duty of care.

Who?
Our running group caters for a broad cross-section of levels, including walkers - so EVERYONE is welcome. We have specialised programs for marathons, half marathons and events like Sutho To Surf, Bridge Run and SMH and Blackmores half marathons.

Special Training Programs
We run special training programs that are event specific, e.g. a 6-week program for the Sutho To Surf (July), followed by a 6-week program for the Bridge Run and Blackmores Half Marathon (September). Earlier in the year we run a 10-week program for the Sydney Morning Herald Half Marathon. This provides a great opportunity to train with a group for added motivation and camaraderie. All participants are provided with email support also.

We also prepare personalised programs for individual athletes for a variety of running events including marathons and triathlon (all distances).

Next Special Running Program
1. May 2008: 8-week program for Sutho to Surf (11km)

2. July 2008: 16-week program for Bridge Run (9km)/half marathon (21.1km)


Cost

For casual runners, $5 per run.

For personal training clients, Thursday and Saturday runs FREE.

For special training program, an upfront payment (based on $10/week) - e.g. 6-week program: $60 for casuals; $30 for personal training clients. This entitles the person to attend up to four runs per week plus receive email support.
